Obligations of Distributor
The Distributor engaged in product selling shall:
- Carry their identity card and not visit the customer's premises without prior appointment/approval.
- Truthfully and clearly identify themselves and the company at the start of the sales process.
- Provide accurate explanations of products, services, prices, return policies, payment, and guarantees.
- Share personal and product details, including identity proof and complaint redressal system.
- Inform about order date, amount payable, sample inspection, delivery, and return/cancellation rights.
- Maintain proper accounts of goods sold.
- Not engage in misleading, deceptive, or unfair trade or recruiting practices.
- Not force large purchases, or force training/literature/equipment sales.
- Not create cross-line sales networks or misrepresent earnings.
- Be responsible for personal tax liabilities (GST/Service tax).
Obligations of ASR towards Distributors
- Provide mandatory orientation with full clarity on business, remuneration, and structure.
- Maintain verified records, identity proofs, and transaction logs for every distributor.
- Keep website updated with company and product details, income plan, and contact info.
- Share regular reports of sales, commissions, and bonuses with distributors.
- Monitor VAT thresholds and inform distributors when applicable.
- Never compel excess purchases or misrepresent opportunities.
- Ensure all representations and promises are fair, accurate, and verifiable.
- Prohibit misleading promotions, coercion, or unlawful practices.
Obligations of ASR and Distributor towards Consumers
- Provide name of buyer/seller, delivery dates, warranty, and return procedures at the time of sale.
- Prohibit false product claims beyond official communication.
- Protect consumer privacy at all times.
- Comply with the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
- Ensure product quality and valid shelf life.
- Display clear MRP on all packaging.
- Issue proper bill to every customer as per law.
